Starting this again on Monday. Who’s with me?
I’ve been writing morning pages again since November 23. It’s amazing what a powerful tool it is, especially since it’s such a simple practice. Just three pages of writing, by hand, first thing. It’s like a meditation on paper. And in these past six weeks other things have fallen into place. I’m doing my own writing, I’ve been going to more AA meetings, I’m going to the gym, I’ve even cooked a meal or two. In the pages, I feel like I have a witness to my life — and it inspires me to participate a little bit more. Happy new year, tumblr world. It’s a bright sunny day in New York and I can hear the birds chirping. I love that they’re here to sing in January.
